ideabookconsulting was founded by Janet Brashear. Janet has over 25 years of experience with companies in the consumer, hospitality and travel industries. Her experience is the perfect blend of consulting, investment banking, and corporate leadership.

Janet led the Travel practice for Accenture Strategy, helping clients devise strategies, enable them with technology, and execute to achieve measurable results.

Janet also led a highly ranked equity research team on Wall Street for Sanford C. Bernstein covering the hospitality, gaming, and cruise sectors. The Wall Street Journal named her their top stock picker in their 2010 "Best on the Street" ranking for Hotels & Casinos.

Janet had a long tenure in the corporate world as a senior executive at Marriott International. She was the Chief Strategy Officer with responsibility for the growth agenda and also the EVP of Operations including Rooms, F&B, Engineering, & Procurement for all global properties.

Janet began her career at Procter & Gamble in sales management for Packaged Soap & Detergent.

Janet holds a Bachelor’s degree from William & Mary and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
